Our Story

Once upon a time, in 2023, there was a smoking hot girl named Ava attending college in the whimsical city of Denton, Texas. Ava was studying media and carrying the burden of being the funniest girl anyone had ever met.

Meanwhile, also in Denton, there was a sweet, also smoking hot, soon-to-be devoutly Catholic music major named Caden. He liked jazz, video games, Star Wars, and apparently making life-altering decisions on Tinder.

Yes. Tinder. Believe it or not, this is a Tinder success story. Their wedding should be sponsored. #genz

Their first date was at Beth Marie’s Ice Cream in Denton, where they walked around like two wholesome college students who definitely did not know they were accidentally beginning the rest of their lives and definitely did not want something casual. (Wink wink.)

After that first date, they were basically two peas in a pod. Caden’s smoking hot looks and musical talents swept Ava off her feet, duh!

Within a month, things were serious. Within three months, they had said “I love you,” because apparently when you know, you know — and when you’re in college, time is fake anyway.

Over the next few years, they grew up together. They dated through school, major life changes, moves, and lots and lots and lots of funerals.

In February 2025, Caden moved to Los Angeles. Ava followed in June, and they both spent a year living with their best friends like extremely responsible adults. Then, on June 1, 2026, they officially signed a lease and moved in together.

They also joined the Catholic Church together through OCIA, where Caden was baptized and confirmed, and Ava was confirmed too. #HeavenHereWeCome

And because balance is important, they also went to Las Vegas for their three-year anniversary, won $1,000, and discovered they love gambling.

So, spiritually, a very balanced relationship.

Four years, Two cities, one Tinder match, and a truly questionable number of life changes later… here they are.

The Proposal

Then came June 6, 2026.

For Ava’s birthday, her best friend Adriana “gifted” her a spa day at Terranea Resort in Palos Verdes, with plans to go whale watching afterward.

Suspicious? Apparently not. Ava is very gullible.

“Adriana” (secretly Caden) planned the whole day: pedicures, swimming, relaxing, and getting ready at an extremely leisurely pace, all under the deeply believable premise that they were going whale watching at a beautiful lighthouse overlook. Because nothing says casual girls’ day like luxury spa treatments and romantic ocean views.

When they arrived at the proposal spot, Adriana found a pair of binoculars. Ava looked through them. Adriana yelled, “Look, a whale!”

Ava looked again, and when she turned around, Adriana was gone. And there was Caden, on one knee, grinning from ear to ear.

Caden, of course, had a beautiful speech prepared that unsurprisingly ended with, “Will You Marry Me?” and Ava’s answer was none other than “Fuck. Yes.”

And now, after Tinder, college, too many funerals, moving across the country, OCIA, Vegas, and one extremely elaborate fake whale-watching scheme…

They’re getting married.

And now you’re here to celebrate with them.

The End.

(Or the beginning?)
